Riva Unveils Ambitious 70-Meter Hybrid Superyacht
Renowned Italian shipyard Riva has announced the development of a groundbreaking 70-meter flagship, currently in construction at its Ancona facilities. Set to debut in 2028, this innovative vessel is the result of a collaborative effort between Riva and Officina Italiana Design.
Designed as a hybrid yacht, this new flagship incorporates advanced battery technology to power its hotel load. This cutting-edge feature enables zero-emission operation while at anchor and silent cruising capabilities. The yacht's construction, utilizing steel and aluminum, is complemented by a hydrodynamically optimized hull design, ensuring exceptional seakeeping performance.
Key details about this ambitious project were unveiled by Riva's parent company, Ferretti Group, during a press conference at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show.
In addition, Riva provided further insights into its flagship series, the 54-meter Metri. The shipyard confirmed that the first hull of this remarkable series is slated for launch in 2025, followed by hull two in 2026 and hull three in 2027.
