Heesen Launches 55-Meter Steel Superyacht Serena
Heesen Yachts has announced the successful launch of the 55-metre steel superyacht Serena. Formerly known as YN20555, Serena was launched and christened by her owner and their family in August 2024.
Construction on Serena commenced in Spring 2022, under the guidance of Arcon Yachts Monaco. Luca Dini Design & Architecture were responsible for her interior design.
The owners' vision for Serena was to create a warm and inviting interior that would foster a home-like atmosphere during extended voyages. Particular attention was paid to the seating arrangements, combining luxurious and practical materials to ensure both comfort and relaxation.
The main saloon of Serena is divided into three distinct areas, with a designated lounge space, a formal dining area and a bronze‐finished bar positioned near the sliding doors. This design ensures a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, serving both the main deck and aft terrace.
Serena's layout is optimized to provide guests with versatile spaces, featuring bars on both the main deck and skylounge. Spanning three decks, the atrium is adorned with John Pomp's handcrafted glass and metal light fixtures. Throughout the interior, light woods with velvet finishes are complemented by smoked eucalyptus, bronze metal accents, soft fabrics and leather, creating a welcoming ambiance.
Serena can offer accommodation for up to 12 guests across five staterooms. The owner's suite, located forward on the main deck, includes a lounge and office space, a generous full-beam stateroom with a private veranda, two large walk-in wardrobes and a luxurious bathroom.
The four guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck, comprising two double staterooms and two twins with Pullman berths. Each stateroom features a private ensuite bathroom with unique marble finishes. Additionally, a gym on the bridge deck can be converted into a sixth stateroom.
The upper deck houses the skylounge, featuring a hammered bronze bar, a customised games table and comfortable seating for entertainment and relaxation.
For those seeking relaxation, Serena offers a spacious beach club area illuminated by natural light. The area resembles a waterfront lounge and includes a sauna with a larger glass door and elegant wood finishes.
The yacht is equipped with a tender and toys conveniently stored on the main deck forward, which the crew can easily launch into the water away from the guests.
When it comes to performance, Serena is powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 engines, delivering a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nm at 13 knots. She is also equipped with zero-speed Naiad stabilizers.
