Sunreef Yachts Completes Hull for Groundbreaking 43M Electric Catamaran

Sunreef Yachts has reached a major milestone in the construction of its Sunreef 43M Eco, completing the hull of what is set to become the world’s largest electric catamaran.
First introduced in January 2022 as part of Sunreef’s expanding Eco fleet, the 43M Eco is designed to combine cutting-edge sustainability with luxury. Francis Lapp, Sunreef’s founder and president, highlighted the project’s significance and emphasised the catamaran’s lightweight composite structure, advanced technology and energy-efficient design, positioning it as the most technologically advanced electric superyacht on the market.
One of the standout features is its solar power system, with over 120 square meters of integrated solar panels built into the hull, superstructure and rigging. The yacht also features an advanced hydro-generation system, allowing for emission-free cruising and unlimited range, according to the shipyard.
Designed for both relaxation and entertainment, the 43M Eco includes a spacious “ocean lounge” aft, which merges the aft deck, swim platform, and fold-down balconies into a single open-air living space. This customizable area can be transformed into a massage room, fitness zone, or bar, depending on the owner’s preferences. A hidden aft garage provides space for tenders and water toys.
On the flybridge, guests can enjoy a spa pool, oversized sun pads, a bar, and dining area, along with an outdoor cinema for onboard entertainment.
As the hull phase is now complete, construction on the world’s largest electric catamaran is progressing, bringing Sunreef Yachts closer to redefining sustainable luxury at sea.
