First Custom Line Navetta 35 Enters the Water at Ferretti Group’s Ancona Shipyard
Custom Line has celebrated the launch of the first hull in its highly anticipated Navetta 35 series, marking another milestone for the Ferretti Group brand at its Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy.
Positioned as the latest evolution of Custom Line’s displacement yacht range, the model places a strong emphasis on natural light, seamless indoor-outdoor living and owner-focused customisation.
A Contemporary Interpretation of the Navetta Concept
Drawing inspiration from her larger sistership, the Navetta 35 adopts the same refined design philosophy characterised by clean architectural lines and balanced proportions. Exterior styling has been penned by Filippo Salvetti, while the interiors have been designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV Architects).
According to Ferretti Group, the yacht’s naval architecture has been conceived to create an almost transparent relationship with the sea, placing the surrounding environment at the centre of the onboard experience. Large glazed surfaces and carefully considered sight-lines strengthen the connection between interior and exterior spaces, enhancing the sense of openness throughout the yacht.
With a beam of 7.7 metres and accommodation arranged across three decks, the Navetta 35 combines contemporary aesthetics with practical cruising functionality. Sculpted surfaces and flowing exterior lines contribute to a dynamic profile while maintaining the timeless elegance associated with the Navetta series.
Interior Design: Light, Texture and Bespoke Craftsmanship
The interiors reflect ACPV Architects’ signature approach, blending soft volumes, organic geometries and bespoke freestanding furnishings designed specifically for the project.
Working closely with the owner, the design team developed a tailored “Light Mood” concept based on a palette of ivory, beige and caramel tones. The result is an environment that feels bright, spacious and understatedly luxurious.
Material selections further reinforce this atmosphere. Pietra di Vicenza stone, pale timber flooring and sand-coloured leather detailing are combined throughout the yacht to create a warm and sophisticated aesthetic while maximising the perception of natural light.
Accommodation
Guest accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests across five staterooms.
Main Deck Owner’s Suite
The full-beam owner’s suite occupies a prime forward position on the main deck, providing enhanced privacy and panoramic views. The suite features separate his-and-hers bathrooms connected by a central shared shower, creating a spacious and highly personalised owner’s retreat.
Lower Deck Guest Accommodation
Four additional guest staterooms are located on the lower deck and are accessed via a dedicated guest lobby. One of the cabins incorporates a Pullman berth, offering additional flexibility for families or larger guest groups.
Exterior Spaces and Deck Layout
A defining feature of the Navetta 35’s exterior profile is the distinctive notch integrated into the gunwale. Beyond reducing the perceived volume of the superstructure, this architectural detail allows additional natural light to penetrate the interior spaces while contributing to a lighter and more streamlined appearance.
Flybridge Deck
The flybridge is among the yacht’s most notable entertainment areas, offering more than 300 square metres of combined indoor and outdoor living space across the vessel. By reconfiguring the staircase arrangement, Custom Line has created a wider and more versatile deck layout.
Highlights include a Jacuzzi, expansive lounge areas and flexible social spaces designed for entertaining. Forward, freestanding furnishings and a dedicated sunset lounge provide uninterrupted panoramic views.
Sundeck
The sundeck centres around an open-air sea-view pool, complemented by generous lounging areas. Covered sections provide shade and weather protection, ensuring the space remains comfortable and usable across a variety of cruising conditions.
Main Deck Aft and Beach Club
A relaxed lounge area on the main deck aft serves as a natural social hub and connects directly to the beach club, reinforcing the yacht’s close relationship with the water and facilitating easy access for guests enjoying waterside activities.
Performance and Range
In standard configuration, the Navetta 35 is powered by twin MAN V12 engines producing 1,400hp each. This propulsion package delivers a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
At an economical cruising speed of 10 knots, the yacht offers a transoceanic range of up to 1,750 nautical miles, supporting extended cruising programmes.
Owners seeking additional performance can opt for twin Caterpillar C32 engines rated at 1,622hp, increasing the yacht’s maximum speed to 16 knots.
